I was wondering if it was normal for a rabbit that is running around and jumping to have red ears. The veins in his red ears are visible too. The room he is in is air-conditioned though so I thought that would help prevent it.

Rabbits thermoregulate with the aid their ears, and it is normal for body temp to rise when a bunny is exercising. The body increases the blood flow to the ears because the ears are thin and have lots and lots of small vessels = a wide surface area. I’d say it’s perfectly normal and good.

When a bunny is resting, the ears tend to get cooler, unless the room is warm.
