He’s getting neutered tomorrow!
Here is looking suspicious while I talk to the vet about his metacam dosage.
Good luck! The poor guy. Thankfully the recovery is faster with neuters than spays. Metacam is great. My bunnies take it like candy.
Awww, what a cutie! Recovery vibes for Odie!
p.s. I had a bonded pair, Peppy (blue Dutch) and Milo (black bunny, who unfortunately passed away). So it’s kind of funny to me that you have a blue Dutch named Milo! Hehe.
Both blue dutch bunnies and the name Milo are well appreciated in my household =]
And my bunnies take metacam like it’s candy as well! Makes the whole giving pets meds thing sooooo much easier!
Aw good luck odie!
He looks so cute in that pic!!!
Awww…what a cutie. He looks like a teddy bear.
((((Speedy Recovery Milo)))))
He is so cute! Good luck Odie!
speedy recovery odie! SO CUTE btw.
*viiiiiiibes* feel better soon Odie!
Good luck Oddie! Feel better cutie!
aww good luck Oddie and Momma! Let me know how the whole thing goes. I’ll be getting mine done in about 2 more months when he’s of age. I am looking forward to the hormones calming down but very nervous about the whole thing. *sigh*
The neuter went really well =] I just got home from picking him up! I know how you feel Cristina, with my first rabbit I took him to a place that seemed knowledgeable about rabbits (but they didn’t ask to do a pre-exam if they were under 2 years), but obviously they weren’t because he stopped breathing during the surgery. After that, and when I returned to Oregon, I decided to check out the vet that did all of the rabbit neuters for the humane societies here in Eugene and she ended up being very reassuring about the procedure during a regular checkup I did with Milo.I think as long as you feel confident in the vet, no need to worry. This time I was just worried about how he would be feeling after the neuter. But with the metacam usually they spring back pretty fast! I would look into where your local rabbit rescue or shelter gets their rabbits neutered because chances are they have a good amount of experience.
Glad you found a good vet for him in Eugene
We’re lucky here in Oregon, to have so many bunny vets.
YAY ODIE!!!!! such a little champ.
glad to hear everything went well. ![]()
I agree Monkeybun! There really are a lot of vets that are so experienced with bunnies here. And thanks for the love everyone! Odie seems to be tired but seems to be feeling pretty well, he has been following Milo around ever since he came home haha
Glad he is doing well ![]()
Yay Odie!!!!
I’m so glad that Oddie is doing well! You’re really lucky that you have good vets. Rabbits are seen as a food source where I live and not as pets.
Yeah, I think that most of the world views rabbits that way unfortunately… =[
Some post-op pictures of Odie:

“I’m just gonna sleep it off mmkay?”
Awwww Odie looks so adorable laying in his litter box. Glad everything went okay.
Little Oddie looks so sleepy. But he’s such a cutie. =]
awww he looks so comfy and sleepy, best wishes and Binky soon!!
Good Lord, he is beyond Cute!!!
Good to hear things went smoothly. Now lots of groveling from you and all should be well.
I’m betting it’s not hard to give him what ever he wants. Far too adorable.
Your Oddie is sooo cute!!!! I just want to scoop him up and hug him. hehe I’m glad the procedure went well. That’s most important! And if he is following Milo around he must be feeling pretty decent! YAY!!!
I’m still super nervous about getting Toby’s done. My first bun died (sigh) 3 weeks ago. I want to use the same vet because I really love her. I just am not sure if she does neutering or how often she does it. I’ll have to make a phone call and see. I am wanting to use her because I really like her, but I’m afraid I may have to look at another facility if she isn’t experienced with it. Either way….I know I’m gonna cry like a baby when I take Toby to get it done. Such a fussy mother I am
Awwww….he looks so sleepy and sweet. Glad all went well.
