So i’ve done my care research for the most part. i’m making an x-pen style 4ftx4ft cage, and I know what feeds are safe and not ect…

But i’m hoping to potty train my baby, and I won’t get her until she’s about 4 months old. She was born January 9th and i’ll be getting her the first of june. She’s a full pedigree tort from a champion mom! but the breeder i’m getting her from is new to Vlops and ended up with the babies because the original breeder of the mom was having trouble selling the babies. So she doesn’t know much about the qaulity of the bun. I’m paying $60 for her which is pretty good for here in washington. And the rabbit is believed to be at least brood quality. With that being said I was going to show picture of my bonnie to see if  anyone could tell me her qaulity more certainly.

And finally, the breeder doesn’t seem to be potty training my doe so I was wondering how difficult it would be to do at 4-ish months old?

Welcome to binkybunny! This is more of a site for house rabbits and not brood/show rabbits, so I’m not sure if a lot of people here would be able to tell you details about quality and such.

In terms of litter training, 4 months old is not too young nor too old to litter train. The time taken for a bunny to learn varies between bunny to bunny, but it may take longer and can be more inconsistent if the bunny is not spayed/neutered because of hormones. Since you have a girl bunny, it’s best to get her spayed as unspayed females have a higher chance of getting uterine cancer later in life if left unspayed. It’ll also lessen her territorial instincts (female buns are notoriously territorial).

Also wanted to add: I don’t know much about breed standards, but she looks like a beautiful bun to me.

Thank you so much, the quality question is more out of curiosity, I was worried the breeder was underselling her. In my area Vlops are really uncommon and she comes from champion lines and her ears are already almost to show standard. They’re an inch away and she is not done growing. The lady only wanted mom and ended up with mom and babies(long story short) She asked for $30 and me feeling  confident she’s at least brood quality countered with $60 (I think my bargaining skills are lacking).

Anyway, I appreciate the advice about spaying i’m not breeding her i’m too new to rabbits for that so she is 100% going to be a spoiled little house bunny! Also, YAY to the potty training!!
