I had noticed some nesting habits during the past few days but decided not to worry too much about it (she was carrying hay in her mouth) but this morning I woke up to find a nest in her litter box! She just started pulling fur about an hour ago an now her litter box is covered in a soft bed of hay and a layer of fur. The problem is her litter box is in need of cleaning as well as the rest of her cage. I could probably hold on another day but it’s starting to stink. Could I move her nest somewhere else without her getting mad at me? It’s already painful enough to watch her rip out fur, seeing her just laying in her own filth is killing me.

        What should I do???
        Please help!

I would probably just clean it – if she gets mad, she’ll get over it…how long ago was she spayed?

She hasn’t been spayed yet. I have to wait until October for her to get spayed (There’s this amazing rabbit vet in my area but he’s off on some training and teaching session until October and i don’t trust any other vet in the area to take care of my baby girl)

She let me put her in her carrying case while I cleaned up her cage (spending some time in the carrying case seemed to calm her down quite a bit) Now she’s nice and cozy in her cage with her nest box and a litter box outside.
