  So, my Harvey is really fond of making tunnels and digging lately. Using a paper diggy box is not an option because no matter what I do, he loves paper and would rather eat the whole thing than digging on it. The other day while he was hopping around, I was refilling his hay rack and left the big bag of hay on the floor and he seemed to really enjoy digging through it (I was keeping an eye on him obviously). So I know a lot of you guys are emphasizing putting hay into hay racks etc so it doesn’t get spoiled by pee etc so, is it a good idea to place a larger amount of hay for him outisde of the hayrack for digging and making tunnels?

  If your bun is litter trained he won’t pee in the digging hay as long as it’s not near the litter box. Something along the lines of this picture below
