Well I am off to work in a few mins for Canada Day, and my clinic is the only one on call for our area (2 hour radius from my town) sooo…. Should be a crazy crazy day

I’ll be moving this weekend and my boyfriend will be gone by the actual fourth. Soo…. not a gosh darn thing probably. Maybe I’ll make some apple pie for me and bunnies (well, they can taste test the apples anyway) and smoke some hookah outside and watch everyone’s fireworks, that’s what I did last year!

I’ll be trying to keep my bird and both bunnies calm through the fireworks… they don’t like loud noises

                I’m not sure.

I was going to go to a coworkers party after I get off of work, but my boyfriend’s parents made plans.. that include going to another city overnight. My bf did not tell his parents about the plans he made with me. I messaged my coworker because I need a ride and she hasn’t responded to me 😮

It looks like it may just be me and Chacha, with a strawberry mike’s lemonade. I’m gonna close the windows, so she won’t be as scared from the noise.

I remember last year on the news around 4th of July – LOTS of pets were missing

I didn’t have bunnies last fourth, so I’m not sure how they’ll feel about fireworks. They do pretty well with thunder, so I’m hoping that they aren’t too upset about it all.

When there is a loud thunderstorm my bird sits in my lap shivering and my buns both go hide – he goes under the bed, she goes to her paper tunnel den. Fireworks often set off night frights / freak out sessions. Not a favored holiday for me for sure lol

Hope your buns don’t mind it too much Kate

In my city about half an hour after the fireworks start, the calls start coming in on the emergency line. Tons of cats and dogs escape their yards and get hit by cars then we have to try and find their owners to get proper treatment because the SPCA will only pay to keep them alive. So please keep all your animals inside of they don’t like fireworks!!!

I do what I do every 4th of July day. Walk about San Francisco until I hear someone talking in an English accent, then punch him in the face and yell “Tea Party BEOTCH!”

Actually, I was suppose to help with fire works displays as I’m getting my pyrotechnics license but the paperwork didn’t come through in time.

No plans really. No money means no fun. I’m sure the rabbits will be fine with the fireworks, it’s the dog that gets upset. Those silly buns could care less what’s going on outside.

Not much-it kind of snuck up on us. We were going camping this weekend but so much stuff with house hunting and we didn’t really have time to prepare so we cancelled. I did go to http://www.jurassicforest.com/ with my brother today!! We’ve been dying to go-it’s really cool, full of anamatronic dinosaurs that move and make noises. And really cool that they flew some of the dinosaurs from the Calgary zoo here for the attraction (the Calgary Zoo has a dinosaur attraction but those dino’s don’t move; however cool that they put in the newspaper not to be frightened if you saw dinosaurs flying from Calgary to Edmonton !!) It was a very cool attraction

K&K, that sounds soo cool! I would love to do that sometime.
My parents’ dog gets so upset during thunderstorms, and probably fireworks now. She didn’t used to, so I’m not sure what happened there, but I love her to adorable little pieces, she is an incredibly strange and neurotic dog. She shivers violently and cuddles up next to the nearest person as close as she possibly can. It’s so cute, but so pitiful! Bunnies were perfectly fine with last night’s fireworks (Indiana people start early) so as long as they aren’t any closer than they were last night, they should be fine. I think they kept me up more than them, I everytime I heard the firework, I was convinced that someone was trying to break into my moving truck.

My husband and I are going out to the barn to hang with barn buddies at a bonfire and watch the fireworks that are visible in the country area. We are taking munchies and probably going to mix up a batch of fruit sangria to share.

my pets are pretty used to fireworks and none of them stress about them too much- we just leave the AC on and the TV on especially when we KNOW there are going to be fireworks…… like for the next 3-4 days straight!

That almost made me lose my drink of coffee!

Canada Day was our usual routine, eh?  Abbut supper time we go to Ricky’s sister’s for a big BBQ. We usually go downtown for the fireworks after but it was crappy weather by that time so we stayed home, although they did the fireworks anyway. You can hear them from our place. Olivia was upset. She didn’t want to come out for run time.  Poor little girl.

4th of July is Ricky’s B-Day and I always have a pool party and BBQ for him. Have NO clue what to buy him this year. Maybe a kitten from my barn? lol

LOL @ Markus!!! I had to read that sentence twice… too funny! (And no offense intended for our adored UK members!)

We are painting the kitchen, dining room, and bathroom. Got the bathroom, kitchen, and all of the ceilings painted yesterday. Today we have the dining room, and trim work/doors to do. Mike’s off for 4 days so it’s the best time to do it!

Beka, if it’s this weekend than you really have to paint them red, white and blue.

I have had to work the 4th for the past 3 years. Never saw the sand sculpture competition in the town I live in here in FL. So, maybe this year since I don’t have to work that day I might try the free Roundabout Shuttle (never used that either but parking is a nightmare) and go to the beach to check it out. Only problem is that we finally got much needed rain for the past 2 weeks and can only hope it will clear up for the 4th.

Supper with my folks that evening.

Lol… We thought of that… BUT we decided on cappuchino, garden shed, and tadpole green instead!

A sand sculpture competition sounds fun!  Have you seen any of those shows where they do those incredible sand sculptures?!  I couldn’t imagine!  Even if I were talented enough to create that… I’m way too clumsy.  I would probably trip and fall in head first!
