Hi there,
Im quite worried about my bunny.
I am booked in to the vets on Monday but worried that I should try to go sooner.
I only got her on Monday, she is a rex and I think she is 14 weeks.
When I got her she was mixed in with boys.
She seems a little thin expect for her belly which is quite around and large compared to the rest of her.
But today I noticed that she has (well I think its pee) thick sticky clear pee. and soft poo but not runny.
I think she is also grinding her teeth, she is making a ‘squeaking’ sound often but seems calm when doing it, she will be just sitting there making the noise then washes her face.
She is very quite when you pick her up but will run away from you before you pick her up. But also doesn’t seem to run around and play as much as my other rabbit does. She is drinking water from a dish and I have seem her eat some pellets and a bit of apple and a little bit of grass, but she didn’t seem to eat as much as my other rabbit. I put a hand full of grass in her cage and she didn’t eat it straight away, as with my other rabbit was trying to get it out of the cage to eat it.
I also have fed her some mixed lettuce (as my other rabbits eats this all the time).
She also has lost a little bit of hair from around where she pee’s but you can only notice it if you move the other hair away.
I have one other rabbit which iv had for 10 months and havnt had a problem.
Im getting worried that my new rabbit is sick.
Both my rabbit live inside and run around most of the time, but now I have put her in the cage to keep my other rabbit from bothering her.
I am worried that if I leave it until Monday she will get sicker. Wondering if I should call the 24 hour vets.
Any help would be great thanks.
