        What can cause urine to start to smell more other than: diet change, type of veggies, less dilution of urine, change in litter/odor control.

        I’ve noticed a change over last few weeks.  A fishy smell I guess…ick!  Jersey seems ok in all other respects other than she may be urinating more. It has warmed up here and so she drinks more so pees more.  Should I be concerned about possible urinary tract infection?  She seems generally healthy.  She did pee on the floor near her box this morning……….but I was late in giving her pellets this morning so……….. ???

          Well for peice of mind in situations like this, it’s best to take them for a check up; It could turn out to be nothing, but often if it is something, putting it off makes it worse and more expensive. If you noticed a new smell and an accident it’d be good to get her checked out for a UTI for sure {{VIBES}}

            Hi jerseygirl. I haven’t had a rabbit with a UTI, but the fish smell makes me think that there is some type of bacterial infection so I think that at the very least, ring your vet. Sorry I coudn’t be more helpful.
