Hi everyone! My rabbit recently got amputated because of an incident, it all went well. But now he is having trouble grooming himself and is developing urine scald. I am taking care of it but it won’t heal if he continues to get urine on him. Does anyone have any suggestions to prevent the urine scald from getting worse/developing again? I caught it early so I’m doing what I can but there is no way he’ll ever be able to groom there so it will always keep coming back! I know he is okay right now but I don’t want him to ever have a real issue with it. Thanks everyone!

I’m sorry your rabbit had to have an amputation, but I’m happy you gave him that chance.

The website Disabled rabbits have tips and advice and info for owners of disabled rabbits: http://www.disabledrabbits.com/

There are also Facebook groups you can join. This is one that I found: https://www.facebook.com/groups/201759429869484/?fref=ts

Thank you! I will give both of those a try.
