  Please help. I need experienced advice on how to treat and feed my bunny now that he has this injury. First off, my girls 3 and 4 were playing with him when he got this injury. I have no idea how they did it what what they did to him as neither one will tell me. Needless to say, I feel horrible for allowing this to happen as they are just too young to handle an animal unsupervised.
  
  Now my poor bunny’s mouth is bleeding. I opened the lips and saw the top of his gum is scraped leaving the top of his tooth exposed. I tried to see if the tooth was lose but it didn’t seem to be.
  
  I’m concerned if he will be able to eat since this injury.
  
  What should i feed him until he gets better as I’m sure pellets are going to be too hard?
  
  Is there any natural oral sanitizer or pain reliever that I can apply to his gums?
  
  Can I feed him fresh made carrot juice or carrot pulp?
  
  Is he going to be ok? Does he need a vet?
  
  Your help is appreciated.

  My advice is, if in doubt, see a vet. If it’s still bleeding and looks sore, definitely see a vet. They can prescribe pain medication at the very least. Possibly an antibiotic as well as bunnies have a tendency to abscess.
  
  You can try adding warm water to his pellets to make a mash.

  I agree. If it won’t stop bleeding, then it’s best to have a vet take a look at it. If he’s having trouble eating, pain medication will help. I don’t know of anything that is safe to use that has antiseptic properties. An antibiotic might not be a bad idea since it’s in the mouth, it could become infected.
