I am really bad at keeping up with forums  Anyway, Tonks is doing great! She is now 9 ish months and I took her in yesterday to get spayed. I get to pick her up in an hour and I cannot wait. When I got her she started off in a cage and got to come out when we were home, then we moved her up to a bigger cage and finally, my husband and I just made her an area in the corner of our family room. It’s 4.5ftx5ft and I am pretty sure she loves it Now on to some pics

        Her first Christmas!

              Such a beautiful bunny

How did she make out with her spay?

She is doing well. She spent most of the day yesterday just sitting in the corner of her pen and I hand fed her a few blueberries and greens. Then around 9 last night I noticed she had ate her whole bowl full of greens, I filled it back up and it was gone again this morning. There are poos in her litter box and a few around her pen also, so it looks like everything is fine there.  Her incision also looks good and she seems to be leaving it alone. Her pain meds were a bit tricky because it smells nasty but I have been putting it in a grape and she will take it that way.

lol you put her meds in a grape.  Smart.  I have to bite a grape in half to make it easier for Cottons little mouth to eat it.  Else it will be rolling around all over as he tries to bite into it.

Tonks is really cute.  What a cute scrunchy face she has.  Glad to hear she is doing good after her spay. Always a relief for the bun parent thats for sure.

I like her living arrangements.  Nice set up.  Her first xmas looks like fun.  Chew toys bow on her head.  Cute.

Good setup! Sorry to butt in, though, but you might want to cover the baseboards in the pen somehow with Coroplast or another pen piece. I’d be worried about the bunny chewing it and ingesting the paint – plus it won’t look pretty. Trust me – we’ve gone through the bun-struction before….our (bare wood) baseboards were so seriously chewed we had to replace them. I would definetely consider covering it up. I mean, if she hasn’t chewed on it yet, you might be okay, but it’s something to consider.

Good luck with your precious little bunny! She looks like a real sweetheart. Luv her dewlap. So smushy.
