Went for our follow up today for Bombur. Our vet did an EC panel along with several other tests. She did an ultrasound to check for a bladder stone, but didn’t see anything. She still believes with the most certainty that he does have EC, especially cause the antibiotics aren’t working. She won’t treat for EC until the panel comes back in 3-7 days. So we are still on Sulfatrim for at least another week. Aside from that, she checked his bum and the urine scald is almost completely healed, and he didn’t need a butt bath, just a tidy up sanitary shave. She’s optimistic either way, which makes me optimistic. Just waiting for that test to come back.

I woke up to even better news this morning! As usual, Bombur peed tad on the floor of his cage, however it wasn’t the typical dark brown I’ve been seeing for the past month! It was definitely the normal clear to light brown color I see with Asriel. I’m hoping the antibiotics are starting to kick in, but you never know I guess.
