Hey guys! Haven’t been on for a while as I have been swamped with University work. Barney and Belle are doing really well, Barney still gets the occasional bout of sore tummy, but we seem to be able to sort it out without a trip to the vets – lots of cuddles and tummy massages! Belle is huge now, she’s a great big beast and the way she runs around you’d never think she only had 3 legs! Though in one of the pictures below, I managed to get a pic of how she sits … right on her little bum with her long legs stretched out and her one front leg supporting! Here are some snaps of the terrible two.

Sadly, we had to say goodbye to my beautiful persian princess last week, Misu (short for Tiramisu). She was 17 and had a wonderful life with us, being loved and cuddled a ridiculous amount. By the end she could barely stand or walk, and was clearly in a lot of discomfort so we arranged for the vets to come to our house and put her to sleep whilst she was sleeping infront of the fire in her favourite spot, with me stroking her.

Run free Misu my princess, it hurt us so much to let you go but we know it was for the best. Now you can be whole again over the rainbow bridge with Meg and Biscuit. Missing you always

Last but not least, a nice picture of my leg! I came off my horse on Saturday when she bolted and galloped STRAIGHT into a large oak tree in the woods … lol! The last thing I remember was shouting a certain expletive and screaming ‘SUGAR (the horse) TREEEEEEE!’ Whoops. Never mind, no broken bones (apart from possibly a finger, but a proper shiner to show for it!)

Hope everyone is having a lovely new year!

        xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Is Belle he one on the recliner?   You have a beautiful rabbit family.

Yes you did right by Misu.  Sorry to hear that she had to go.  It was her time.

Ouch that leg must really hurt.  How is  your horse doing?  Probably not a scratch  while you got all the bruises.

I’m really sorry you had to let Tiramisu go. Luckily you’ve got two beautiful buns to cheer you up. Take good care of yourself.

Hi AnnaW, I did miss you – so wonderful to see you, Barney and your precious Belle again. I am so so sorry to hear about your Misu, I can only imagine your devastation, but how lovely your vet was able to do that for you! (I am so touched by your story) – when my Molly (15yo toy poodle) was in his last days, we should have had him put down – but ‘we’ couldn’t take him to the vet. If that option (that I have never heard of) had of been available to us, maybe we could have considered it? But we chose to let him pass away naturally at home, not a vet clinic. I will keep that in mind, our Sam is 14yo, blind and deaf, but still happy enough for the moment. When her time comes and I feel she is in discomfort – I will call the vet and ask if they would consider a home visit? Thank you so much for sharing your very personal, sad loss of Misu with us – I benefited from it immensely!
Oh my – your leg (bloody horses running into tree’s, doh!), but like you said, it could have worse?????
Your forum title “pic heavy” – I couldn’t open it fast enough, ha hah! Your Barney is still super cute and your Belle – just as adorable as the last picture you shared with us on BB! (I do love the way she sits, lol…). Lots of hugs and kisses to Barney & Belle from Henry (and his mum, he he he). Cheers AnnaW.

Bunnytowne – yep thats Belle in the armchair with her little pogo leg at the front bless her! Thank you for your sympathy, it was definitely the right thing for our little princess. As for my horse, she had not a scratch on her! Came wandering back to me looking very sheepish bless her

MissD – thankyou, I am so lucky to have my wonderful bunnies to take my mind off things! You take care too!!

AndHenry – sorry to hear about Molly, she sounds just precious. We rang our vets and asked for home euthanasia as we knew she’d much prefer to be warm in her own home, so I hope that when the time comes for you and Sam that option is available to you! It really did make it a lot less painful, knowing she wasn’t confused or distressed. ♡ But I hope for you that that decision is a long way off! Haha I know, these bloody horses eh!! Sending lots of kisses to Aussie for Henry and you, please take care of the myxo risk I hhave been hearing about!!!!
                Take care!!
