I have a 9 year old 3.5lb netherland dwarf bun. As he ages, he seems to be having progressivelymore stomach issues.
Lately he has been having more unformed cecals. There is nothing else in his behavior to suggest that he is ill–well, nothing else that hasn’t been checked out by the vet.
He is eating a bit less this past week, but still plenty. He is just as active as he usually is and these unformed cecals have been coming and going with formed ones and regular poos for the last 2 months or so.
He gets a very small amount of pellets every evening and veggies every morning and evening. He also has unlimited access to timothy hay and orchard grass. I feed him everything I can find that’s good for him, so he gets a wide variety of veggies.
Is it possible I’m feeding him too many greens? After reading a bit on this form is seems like that could cause this issue but I’m not sure.
If it’s not that, I’m really not sure what else it could be and would appreciate suggestions about what to do.
