My male nethie is now 7mo and weighs 2lbs. I can feel his hip/thigh bone, and his ribcage. There is a bit of skin on him enough to move around, but should i be able to feel his bones? Hes getting 1/8 cup of oxbow pellets, timothy hay, and 1/4 cup of veggies. I wasnt able to feel them prior, but hes molting right now so that also might be why he feels so thin?

Im also looking for better ways to weigh him so i can monitor his weight better

You can give him more veggies if you want, though veggies don’t help with weight gain much.

Wick is a Netherland dwarf, healthy weight for his size. He is 11mo and is 2lbs. He was a significant runt at 8wo, about half the size of his brothers and sisters. I’m unsure if he’s caught up or still small for a Netherland, as I don’t have another to compare him to, but! I’ll let you know how he feels…. Can’t really feel his rib cage. I can feel the hind leg bones above his tail area. His spine is there but smooth. Wick used to be underweight, but I followed my vets instructions and gave him critical care for a week. He ate like 8 syringes a day, then he got up to healthy weight and has maintained it.

I took a video of him so you can see. I put a tissue box so you can reference size.

You can buy critical Care on Amazon. Maybe feed some to him a few days out of the week.

Ive been trying to search online ti see if i can pick up some critical care from the store but i guess ill have to wait to get it from amazon.
I can feel his leg bone curve from the side of his spine down to his side.
When he wasnt molting i wasnt able to, but his fur is so thin it has me worried that i can feel it. I need a better scale ti weigh him on as well for ease
