Hello,
I just have to tell this story. It was so hilarious seeing this.
I had my bunny girl Cotton spayed last monday and there were some complications (she is fine and back to her normal health now) which was why we had to but a Collar on her, so she couldn’t chew her stitches anymore. Yesterday I had her out without her collar to be able to relax some without that iicckkkyyy thing. Well, what does she do? Of course she tries to pull out the stitches. But we just told her no and pushed her nose (not hard, just touching, so she knows). This happened repeatedly over several minutes. Of course she didn’t get in trouble when she was only grooming.
So after a while she sits on her hind legs and starts cleaning her ears. After a while I noticed she was bending down further, but she still had her front feet beside her head and ears. That was when I noticed, she wasn’t really grooming she was pulling at her stitches while making us think she was grooming. I was so astounded!!! She fooled us!! …. But, she did not hurt her tummy or pull any stitches out.
I have had 4 bunnies before I got these two and I never knew they were THAT smart. Such a smart bunny.
