So apparently one of my neighbors a couple houses down moved away to a different state. Guess what they left behind?! THEIR DOG(S)!!! It is too hot for animals to be outside let alone outside with no food or WATER! I didn’t know about this situation until last night! My neighbors have been gone about a week now. My aunt was here and told me there was a dog roaming the streets and then my brother told us the story. I think my brother is a little bit on the slow side because he should have TOLD ME that there were dogs out there abandoned. Like, what was he thinking not telling me?! ugh. Sorry, I am just FURIOUS! Anyway, we couldn’t find the dog again last night so I went today to the house and there were no signs of dogs so I just went back home. There were some of my shady neighbors outside too so I didn’t want to do anything too suspicious and have them come over and harrass me. I am not good with confrontation. I was by myself too. I might go back later tonight and see since it will be cooler. I am thinking they may have gotten picked up by animal control or something. I dunno but I am still going to go back to look again. I do not think it will be a good idea to enter the backyard of the property since that is trespassing but if it is to save a life or two I might. Though, I doubt cops will understand what I was trying to do. The cops are mean out here. =( Anyway, I really hope the dogs are some where safe now with water and shade!
This has made me think more about starting my own rescue. I have always wanted to start a rescue, just never really knew how. It’s hard because I love all animals and want to save them all but having a rescue would be kind of difficult to save all the animals since saving multiple species could cost a lot more and be a lot more time consuming. I would love to have a rescue for cats, dogs, and rabbits. I don’t know how well that would work though lol I need to think about it more and do more research. If you have any advice for me please feel free to tell me.
I am just so upset that someone could just abandon their animal(s) like that! Makes me so mad.
