Typical, lazy or out of shape?

I don’t think my bun is overweight, i’ve been following the suggested feeding recommendations and amount.  Also last month I went to the vet and she came in at 5.5 pounds and the vet checked off the box that said “average”

Due to my work schedule, I’m only able to have Flospsie out of her cage for excercise about 3 hours a day (excluding petting and grooming time).

two questions:

1.  When she is not roaming and exploring, she is in her huge x-pen (its actually two x pens joined together, literally half of the living room).  She has ample  toys or games or things to do.  Her favorite thing is to chew cardboard and go into “Hulk destructo” mode 

However, after a short while, especially if i’m not there watching.  She’ll just lie down.  I know that she’s relaxed, but it seems a bit too relaxed.  Is this normal? Or is she a bit lazy.  There are literally so many things for her to do, but she just lies there.

2.  When I let her out to explore, I have to closely monitor her.  I don’t really bother her but i prevent her from getting into trouble.  Sometimes she lives to run around especially down the long hallway.  After running around a bit she will lie down.  When she lies down her whole body is shaking.  Her heart is beating fast and sometimes I can even hear it since shes close to the ground.  Her body is shaking and her ears are twitching.  I know that their hearts beat fast but its literally going crazy. The thing is, if she isn’t running around, even if she just is causally playing when she goes to lie down her ears are shaking too. Is this normal? Is she out of shape?

It sounds pretty normal to me. (My bunny Mocha has been doing what your bun does for her entire 2 years of life, and she is perfectly healthy). Rabbits generally seem to get bored if you just give them a bunch of stuff (they sort of enjoy when I play with them too).

If your vet says your rabbit is healthy, I wouldn’t be worried at all.

If she’s a lop, then it sounds normal to me. From what I’ve read and heard, lops tend to be more laid back laze around bunnies. Both of mine are like that, Moshi the most. He’ll do bunny 500’s and binky like crazy, then lay down. Throw some toys around, dig in the litterbox and then lay down. He’ll even run around, then go to Marlee with his grooooom meeeeeee face and lay down right under her face.

What about the violent shaking? Do you guys get that?

When Bun Bun is flopped out sometimes I can see him breathing heavily and sometime he’s breathing so fast his ears move too, but I’m not sure if I’d consider it “violent shaking.” How fast/hard does your bunny shake?
