Hey guys! I haven’t been active on here as much lately because I’m a student and finals are swallowing me whole. But Theodore and I are very well, as is the rest of the house.
However, I do have some queries for you:
1) My shipment of Oxbow Timothy was delayed a little so I had to go and get a small bag of Kaytee in the meantime until it arrived. Theodore’s not picky and will wolf down just about any hay, and he’s had the Kaytee many times before, so I wasn’t worried about this. However, I did notice that after eating only the Kaytee, his poops started looking healthier, actually. They got just slightly bigger, rounder, and a better color. There were also a little more of them than there tend to be when he’s only eating the Oxbow. His energy level is up and he’s a happy, furiously binkying little bunny as always. Is it possible that the Kaytee is just better for his digestive system? I know Oxbow is a better hay, but the evidence would suggest otherwise… and I know he eats the same amounts of Oxbow when I have it, because I’ve watched him endlessly munch on it. Thoughts?
2) A while back I gave Teddy a wicker basket, which he’s thoroughly enjoyed and now has decided his new favorite game is to chew and tear the ever loving crap out of it. I walked in this morning to find broken twigs of wicker everywhere. He’s not swallowing, just chewing and ripping apart, but I was curious if I need to be worried about these small pieces of wicker possibly getting lodged in a paw or something.
Thanks as always! <3
