Traveling with a Rabbit

I am going out of state in a couple months and need some tips and some advice. The drive is 22 hours approximately, and that’s if we don’t stop for the night. Bilbo has been in his carrier for 5 hours straight before, with hay and water. He didn’t act up or act upset. He held his bladder and poo though and refused to go. I’m worried that it will stress him out badly. I will be gone for about a month though and the thought of someone watching him makes me anxious just thinking about it. I don’t even like leaving my dog >.> And Bilbo has a more strict feeding regimen and I just don’t trust anyone to follow it. Rabbits aren’t as easy to take care of as dogs. I decided that I am going to let him out at rest stops on his leash and harness for exercise and bathroom. We will do that probably every couple hours. I will be spraying his stress free rabbit safe stuff on his blanket and he will have his food and water. I’m trying to decide which carrier to use. I’m leaning towards the hard kennel not the soft pet carrier. Simply because of his water spills then it won’t get on the floorboard. I might get a slightly larger kennel. I’d rather plan ahead so that I have everything ready. I know he’s going to be mad regardless of what I do, but I want to do whatever is most comfortable. I even though about medicating him for the drive, though I don’t want to if the vet says it isn’t safe. I’ll ask once I send him to get neutered. Any advice/tips is appreciated:3

I’ve done a 10 hour road rip with my bun, and then a 5 day stay, and then the same drive back home. My girl did great, she has a smaller cage we use for travel, it’s big enough for her littler box and for her to flop out in, I keep that one all set up with her food water and litter in the back of my SUV. She would go in there when we stopped at a rest area so she would have a chance to go potty and get a drink. Otherwise she would ride in her soft sided carrier in the front seat, next to the dog in his soft side carrier. I’d stop about every two hours
