Hello fellow bunny slaves!
I need some help here regarding long-distance travel by plane with my Pie.
Pie has lived with me in South Africa for 4 years since birth. I was recently appointed in a position in Ghent, Belgium. We will be immigrating in November. Pie is my only child, and very much my only priority. I have done as much research as possible on having Pie travel with me to Belgium in-cabin.
She is a very skittish rabbit, very prone to stress. I have her veterinary medication and oxbow recovery feed at hand at all times, in case she nears gastric stasis again. She is about 3kg in weight and in very good condition.
It seems we will be taking Brussels airlines, stopping over in Frankfurt, since it is the only airline flying from SA to Brussels that allows in-cabin pet travellers with their owners and is the shortest flight at 13 hours. I cannot let her travel in cargo, she will not make it.
I am already worried sick, I’m scared she won’t make it, or suffer irreparable stress and become ill upon arrival
Please, any comments will be much appreciated.
