Hi! So, this is Taz:

He was pretty wild when he got here, so he got named after the Tasmanian Devil. He also listens to the names Monster, Little Terror and Hey-come-back-here (and when I say ‘listens to’ I mean ‘acknowledges he’s being called and goes on ignoring me’. Except when I have food, of course).
I adopted him from the shelter about 7 months ago. He was supposed to be agressive, but I’ve never really noticed anything like that. He just likes to communicate using his teeth. He’s getting better about that, though.
He likes to eat. A lot. And sleep. He also spends lots of time throwing, wrecking and chewing things.
This is Tom:

Tom came here from the same shelter, 6 months ago. His brother was there, too, so I guess they got dumped when they reached puberty and started fighting. Someone’s been chewing on Tom’s ears, anyway.
He’s very shy, though quite adventurous when he thinks nobody is looking. He’s always climbing and jumping on and off the furniture. He doesn’t care much about my state of mind when he’s up somewhere high and decides he can easily run and jump around up there.
He also loves books almost as much as I do, though not in ways I can approve of. Fortunately he hasn’t figured out a way to get on the bookshelves yet.

They look like a couple of lost baby bunnies here. I don’t know what happened. This one’s from today
They’re both about 1,5 / 2 years old. Both neutered. They really like each other. They’re pretty much all over each other the whole time. They’re a perfect match, though. Tom very patiently puts up with all Taz’s moods (and nipping), which has caused Taz to calm down a lot, and having Taz around has given Tom a whole bunch of confidence, so now he doesn’t freak out anymore everytime he hears something move.
They’re not too crazy about me yet, but considering they’ve been going to the vet almost monthly (and lately almost weekly) since they got here, and all the medications and force feedings I’ve put them through, it amazes me that they don’t run away screaming when they see me. Taz even lets me pet him since a few weeks, and Tom climbs on top of me every once in a while.
Welcome to BB! I just LOVE your buns! So adorable! Taz sounds a little like my Monkey, although Monkey doesn’t nip much.
Thank you! The nipping is getting less, and he has learned to aim for the clothes instead of me (and he only bothers Tom when he’s in a really bad mood), so that’s good. I’m quickly running out of clothes without holes in them though ![]()
Awww. Theey’re both sooo adorable. Welcome! Taz looks like a bunny I saw at our local petstore . . . it’s sad to think that those bunnies may end up at the shelter. . . Do you know what breed they are?
Welcome! They look a sweet pair. Thank you for rescuing them. They sound to be in good hands with you. Anyone who says “communicates” with his teeth” to me has understanding and patience with rabbits and is pretty much a rabbit slave in my book. lol Great pictures ![]()
There are two colors I love: agouti and white! I want Tom!!! Seriously though, glad to know they’re in good hands! Welcome.
Thank you all ![]()
VelvetLion: I have no idea. Taz does look like a typical petstore let’s-throw-some-bunnies-together-and-see-what-happens breed. His hair is some weird length that’s neither long or short. Tom looks more like a proper rabbit (You know, the hair.) They’re both 1.5 kg / 3.3 lbs, so they’re pretty small.
Jerseygirl: I have more pictures.. ![]()
Petzy: You can’t have him. Sorry. Taz wouldn’t like that. And you don’t want to do anything that Taz doesn’t like. Trust me. He’d find you.
Taz looks to me to be part lionhead and perhaps part hotot. Either way, he’s all cute!
Oh,a nd don’t be shy about posting pics! We LOVE pics! *hides poking stick behind her back*
I love the pictures! They are so cute! Welcome!
Well, I guess a few more pictures can’t hurt.. ![]()

Tom doesn’t think leaving the pen is a good idea.

Oh, they are darling! I’m glad they are the perfect match for each other too.
Awww bunny kiss! <3 <3 <3 I must repeat myself. I LOVE your buns! *adds them to the list to whom to bunnynap*
They are so cute! I love the pictures and I so want your buns!!!! Rolan, the reason I asked was, my friend bred Lionheads for a while (she stopped now =)) and sold them to the petstore here, and I know it might just be a wild guess (for all I know you’re location is nowhere near us. . . ) but Taz looks just like one of her babies.
Hmm.. I am all the way in Europe, but who knows what he has been doing before ending up here. Might have stolen a plane.
Lols. Nope I guess not then. It was mostly just wishful thinking. I wish I knew what happened to all those babies though. . . =(
They’re all living in nice big houses with nice families and loads of friends and toys ![]()
Welcome to Tom and Taz!! They are soooo cute together!!
Lol. Rolan, that’s nice to know.
Welcome! I’ve interacted with you in other threads before but this is the first I’m seeing their pics! They are so sweet! Thank you for rescuing them!
oh, they are a couple of nice looking boys!!! i love the pics. and in one of your pics, is it a pic of tom holding a toilet paper roll stuffed with hay? if so, that is an amazing idea!
Yes, that is a toilet paper roll stuffed with hay. It’s his favourite toy ![]()
do you have any other cool toy ideas?
