I have a 5 year old lionhead who I adopted 4 years ago. He is pretty active outside the cage, and while I have trimmed his nails time to time, they seem to stay fairly short on their own. I noticed recently they were getting a little long, and went to trim-discovered they were ‘soft’ suddenly. As in, difficult to trim because they bent with clippers. He has not acted as if anything has been bothering him, eating, drinking, moving normally. What is his diet missing/what is wrong that is causing this to happen?

I’m wondering now if bunnies can get Psoriasis of the nail, I get that on my finger nails, they get very soft like rubber, it does not bother us, just not nice and if we catch them it hurts, a vet would sort him out, as for his diet, what do you feed him?
