Owning a timid bun for the first time has been so enlightening and rewarding.  Last night was a big milestone for little West.. she flopped out on her side in my presence for the first time!  It was only like a 1-2 second flop, but I was very excited to see her relaxed that much around me. .  She’s slowly but surely getting more comfortable in her new environment and being around Zeus and myself, I’m so glad to see the improvement.

Here’s to many more flops ahead!

I know isn’t it?  I’m proud of her. .  I think she’s finally starting to figure out the routine, she even runs to the door of her cage during mealtimes, ready for her handouts.

Those first flops are so precious…or so terrifying if they are ‘dead bunny flops’…lol. Fiver goes over like he’s been shot with a HYOOOGE thud for such a wee bun.

I’m glad to hear West is finally settling a bit more. I was beginning to worry she’d always be this stiff matron with disapproving lip.
And how is our beloved Zeus? Would really enjoy any spare piccies you have time to post…hint-hint!

Yay! I have a timid bunny too, those first milestones are so exciting! Just wait til she first crawls over you for a treat or runs up and asks you for a pet. hehe

Yeah Zeus definitely does the dead bunny flop!

I’m glad she’s settling too, I had similar concerns.  I think she’s really blossoming having the same environment, the same routine, and seeing the same people and animals every day.  She’s starting to know what to expect, and I think she really likes that.

Zeus is good, as always!  He’s shedding like crazy, but has decided he doesn’t like to be brushed.. but he’ll sit there and let me RIP the hair out by hand all night long!  .

I’ll be sure to get more pics soon!

The day she actually openly asks for pets will be so so exciting.  Right now I’m just ecstatic she’s not absolutely terrified of being pet anymore.

Yay! It’s heart-warming to see a new bun slowly come out of their shell as you gain their trust .
