So I have had Lola the three month old lop for about two weeks now. Ever since I got her I had her roaming my living room 3-4 hours a day and in her smallish cage the rest of the time. I just got her a large 4ft by 6ft xpen that is connected to her cage 24\7 and she absolutely loves it. When she is let out to roam the living room she is a trouble maker. She chews the wood furnishings in my apartment, poops everywhere and anywhere, has had 3 pee accidents, and rips up and eats the carpet. She wasn’t litter trained before I got her so she’s actually doing very good when she pees in her litter box most of the time, but she just seems to hold her poop untill I let her roam and then I have to pick up about 200 of them scattered throughout my apartment! I know her bad behavior is due to her being so young and not being spayed yet, but I can’t afford to get new carpet or to watch her 100% of the time shes out as I am a student and when I am not working I am doing homework. Ideally I would love for her to be a full time house rabbit in the future but I know it is not possible at this location as my whole apartment is carpeted. My question is, how much time would be acceptable to let her roam since she has such a big space of her own now?

If you can let her out supervised for an hour a day (during her more active time, probably evening), with a large space like that, that should suffice for exercise time right now. It’s tough bc she’s young, unspayed as you said, and she’s going to be in her “terrible twos” for maybe the next 3-9 months. After she is spayed, potty habits should improve, and once she’s a year+, destructive behaviors may decrease as well. Make sure you bunny proof the spaces she is in. Don’t have Grandma’s beautiful antique table in the space you let her roam, for example, unless you want bunny nibbles on it! Buns do sleep and rest for the majority of the daytime hours, so figure out her active time and try to work that into your schedule. It might be tough for a little bit, but you’ll get through it!
