It sounds like the brown dog tick. If it’s the brown dog tick, you probably need professional pest control to eradicate them from your house. But maybe you’ve had that done that already?
Revolution doesn’t prevent ticks from biting, but it is bunny safe. Do NOT use fipronil on rabbits. You could ask your vet which treatment product they recommend for rabbits. Availability may differ between countries. Advantage is against fleas, so it’s no good for ticks, although rabbit safe. Whether the rabbits have ticks now or not, they should probably be treated as a preventive measure.
Treat dog with permethrin or imidacloprid + permethrin so he doesn’t bring more ticks in. But I’m guessing you already did that. If you used fipronil, do not allow rabbits to have contact with dog. I personally prefer permethrin (we have many ticks where I live), and I have used it on the buns too although it’s not 100% bunny safe. The problem is not really the ticks themselves, however nasty, it’s the possibilty of them transferring diseases.
