I know it’s only been a few days, but she lunges more now and bites/nips more. She’s very unpredictable! could be sweet and let me pet her and then let my knuckle and break skin! i’m assuming this is normal because maybe she’s uncomfortable from her surgery or mad about it? Did anyone ever notice this type of behavior before?

Hormone flares. This could happen for up to six months on and off as her body adjusts to having less hormones than her body is currently used to

It could be pain after her spay, so if you have Metacam, keep giving her that.
Another possibility is early onset of “post-neuter craze” – a change in behavior resulting from fluctuating levels of sex hormones in the blood. It’s quite common and normal and most often subsides within a few weeks. There can be extra aggression, territoriality and other hormone-driven behaviors while this is going on.

              Ok
Good to know. She has been HORRID about taking her Metacam! She even notices when I sneak it in her food!! I finally had her take it on her lettuce today, but very reluctantly! But the good news is she’s eating really well yay!
Also we got her a new “house” , bigger with a hideaway space and a second level. All of a sudden she peeked up and is so happy with her new home!
We are bringing her old cage to our house in Maine. So santa brought her a big fancy cage for our house!
