We finally got to bring Strawberry home! He is the sweetest bun ever! A little timid around us humans at first. He was really jumpy if we moved around too much but he is adjusting super fast. We brought him home Sat afternoon and we had major binkys by Sun morning! He just looks so happy! When we got his cage in the car I almost cried when I saw that he had no hay (even though they said he got unlimited hay and pellets) and there was no sign of hay ever being in there. The corner that he had been using as a bathroom was moldy. And the whole thing smelled REALLY bad. Needless to say we threw it out as soon as we got home! It was way too small anyway so I didn’t intend to use it as a cage but I was going let him keep it in his pen so he felt more at home. I don’t think he needs it though and seems to be just as glad as we are that he doesn’t have to go back in it. When I let him our for free roam time he does binkys every few mins!
He looked so happy and the initial meeting went so well that we decided to start bonding him to Lola yesterday.
