I love all the quirky threads about the funny things our buns do, so I have one to add. I’ve noticed that when I hand out carrot bits, raisins, even apple, all the buns and the piggies are alert and begging, but when they get their share, they sit side and side and chow down. Even if one finishes and tries to share her mate’s piece, it’s all friendly.
But just let me start to peel a banana and all bets are off! They can smell it before I get to the room and climb on each other to be first. Lola, normally a calm distainful bunny queen will whirl in circles smacking her lips and little Toby just jumps up and down in place like a little dog. Since Hershey’s will often have a few drops of Baytri in it, she’s still enthusiastic, but will usually bite my finger for messing with her treat.
. And THEN each one runs off to a secluded corner and hunches over their little mushy bite, like they’re just daring anyone else to come close. They slurp and nom, constantly looking over their shoulder and keeping that bunny butt defense in place. They don’t do that for any other foods I’ve offered…lol
Silly buns
