So I have a havana and english lop mix who is a ? Month old male and I give him unlimited hay and a hand full of lettuce+carrots. He eats them all in 1 sitting. I just changed to this diet and im wondering if that meant that i was under feeding before or now. How do I know.

Rabbits of any age should have unlimited hay. When rabbits are 6 months old or so, and no longer considered to be babies, they should have pellets in limited amounts, according to their weight. These should be timothy based pellets for an adult.

A handful of carrots sounds like too much. Carrots have a lot of sugar, and should be thought of as fruit and only given in small quantities, such as one small piece a day maximum. There are a lot of different greens and veggies that you can give your rabbits. Start slowly with different greens, to see what they like and to avoid any GI problems.

Here is a good guide to a rabbit’s diet: https://binkybunny.com/BUNNYINFO/tabid/53/CategoryID/2/PID/940/Default.aspx
