I need help with what brand of pellets I need for my 8 week old bunny. I’ve read that the appropriate hay for her is alfalfa hay not timothy hay. The vreeder feeds her rabbits Mana Pro brand but I’m not sure if that the best nutrition for my young bunny.
        Please Help!!

From a quick glance I think the Mana Pro is fine for a baby bunny

but I would transition to Oxbow if that’s an option in your area

Ok thank you. I can get Oxbow in my area when do you suggest I transition to The Oxbow pellets?

You can transition to Oxbow whenever, as long as it’s a slow transition, and you’re feeding the young rabbit kind (alfalfa based), not adult rabbit kind (timothy based). I wouldn’t buy the oxbow young rabbit pellets in bulk, because she’ll eventually transition to the adult pellet at 6 months old, if not sooner (a lot of people transition sooner because they notice too high calcium intake, which is notable with consistent cloudy/white urine).

I’m not sure if the Mana Pro pellets are alfalfa or timothy based but I have noticed her urine is cloudy. So I guess I’m feeding her all wrong.

AS far as I can tell Mana Pro is alfalfa based.

Cloudy urine on occasion isn’t a bad thing. It’s good to know excess calcium is being excreted normally. At a young age, the rabbit needs dense nutrition for growth, so the cloudy pee on occasion isn’t bad. It’s simply if it’s very frequent.
