When you talk to your rabbit(s) what do they say back?

Rumball is in the hidey box just now when I  started being annoying and talking to him.

        “Ruuumball! Hello Rumball”

        Silence

“Hello Rumball. Didn’t you want to be called Rumball? Did you want to be called George?”

More silence but he pulled his head back indignant-like, almost as if saying “George? Ah…No!”

“Did you want your old name? Hoppy?”

        Nothing

        “Hopsalot?”

        Nothing

        “Sir?”

        Nothing

        “No, you’re Jersey’s Rumball.”

Nothing….turns to groom self and ignore annoying human

Sigh. He wasn’t very talkative today.

Just before I saw your post, I was online here and Samantha hopped over to the floor near my chair. She was sort of looking my way, and I said Hello. She looked up at me. I asked her if she wanted to play, and she kept staring expectantly. I am pretty sure she would like a clicker game/treat, but after asking her, she just finally looked away and hopped to her wreath for a nibble.

She had just pulled her pellet food dish out of it’s usual spot and made room for eating more hay. She’s never done that before. It would be nice if she could tell me what she’s thinking – or not. Considering how often I get batted with tiny paws.

Jersey, do you translate bunny mime speak?
I got up this morning, and Sammy had pulled half her sheet under her willow tent, shoved her cuddle cup in there, moved her litter pan around, and generally appeared to have redecorated. I took a pix but can’t upload at the moment. She doesn’t like tile so I don’t know why she moved the sheet off of it, and I am not sure where exactly she slept. It’s just weird.

I have cleaned the pan and pulled the sheet back out again. Left the tent and cuddle cup where they are. Don’t know what she wants with this, or is she just bored?
I also found a pretty cotton rug on sale at William Sonoma (great low price) with free shipping, so ordered it for her.
              I wish she COULD talk!

It depends on Lolli if she talks back or not. lol (And no, I have not lost my mind. She doesn’t actually talk. lol)

She’ll periscope and look at me. I tell her she’s a pretty pretty girl and she’ll sometimes sit taller like she’s saying “yes I am!!!!”. So cute. lol

Sometimes when I say good morning to her, she’ll do a little binky or get a bit excited.

Most of the time though I just get the “I don’t know what you’re talking about. Leave me alone” look.

“Shut up and give me the damn treat woman”

                    “Do NOT touch me”

They also like to attack my feet/calves while I’m sat at the table working. Once they have my attention, they’ll just saunter off.

Cotton may start grooming something or perk his head up and an ear.

                      Ruby perks her ear up

Yes, I do actually.   She was clearing the table aka pen floor for her breakfast. She had wanted pancakes with apples and maple syrup. Didn’t you get the memo?

I don’t know Pam. If the cuddle cup and sheet are favourites and she’s taken them into her tent, maybe she wants a thatch roof on her pen?

I realized early on that I say the same thing to the bunny every day when I wake up. I start making his breakfast while my coffee brews, feeding my bun before I even get my caffeine, what a good mom! I always ask him, “What do you want for breakfast?” (Even though he has no choice in the matter.) Then when he’s eating I ask him, “Do you like your breakfast? Is it deloosh?” Same routine for dinner. I realize that the neighbors/roommate can hear me and I sound completely mental.

However, whenever I need his attention and shout “Mr. Bun-Bun!” because I don’t know where he is, he comes running out, and follows at my heels. My dad was cracking up over that this weekend (we were at my parents’ house.) My dad complains about the bunny because he infringes on the cat’s space (even though we’re rarely there.) But when he saw the bunny respond and follow me, he couldn’t stop laughing and saying how cute it was

When I bring down the veggies..

“Who wants veggies? WHO WHO WHO???” Chacha will beeline to me, and sometimes hop around me! She can’t wait til I put the plate down for her.
