        Sooo…*sigh*

My bunnies have a full room to roam around in, Pepito is still caged(currently in bonding process) winnie is free roam.

Its been this way for a while now, about a year now. However, Ive been thinking about building a pretty big and amazing cage for my buns, I feel bad taking Winnie away from a huge room, but cleaning an entire room everyday is pretty grueling, its a pretty big room and i spend about an hr to 2 hours cleaning it everyday. Thats just to much considering i work 8 hrs everyday. Also, Winnie seems to really like being in a cage. Maybe it makes her feel safe, im not sure. But i have to fight her to get out of the cage. Im just trying to make certain things in my life alittle more minimal. Im going to post a picture of what im thinking about doing for there cage. I truly think it will be for the better.

What on earth does the poor bun do to require a one hour daily cleanup?

            LOL!
I have to clean the room and the Pepitos cage, It take awhile :/

They both shed insanely even with daily grooming, Winnie is litter box trained but because pepito is present she just poops little poops around his cage lol, no pee though. When i let Pepito out though, she destroys the room ohh my goodness is sounds like the Kracken has been released when Pepito is out.(litterboxes turned over, food and water bowls go across the room, the heavyheavy blanket i use on the ground for there paws gets stuff all over it, then my fiance gets mad when i wash the blanket in the washer, its alot of stress lol!!I also think it will help the bonding process.I just feel it will be so much easier for myself. I do feel like the buns will enjoy it also, strangely. Winnie really likes to be in a cage. Q8 what do you have you bun or buns in?

Chewie (only child) is in… a two-bedroom apartment. No, I LOL, but in all seriousness… he has all-access, just like his mommy. There’s hay here and there, the very odd poop, toys in rainbow colours, but there’s no mess per se. I’m starting to feel odd because I’ve never had to really clean up after him. When he moults, he moults, and I try to moult with him to keep him company, but other than that, we share furniture, blankies & pillows, etc. and I probably make more of a mess than he does on the days when I cook or play with LEGOS

                Awww!
                Chewies got the life!!
Maybe when my bunnies are bonded, I can release them back in there room lol!
Winnie is not very destructive but Pepe is!

I have a very similar cage for my pair, they’re in it when we’re sleeping or not at home. When i am home they have a playpen in front of it which they come out into, something to consider perhaps as it’s less space to clean than a whole room.

Reese. Nic cubes! Where ya been!!??

Though its not clear on that photo how the wooden shelves are supported… its a very nice example of a nic cube cage…

Mine will have to be purchased & constructed soon. I too am fed up of cleaning their temp enclosure which has tarpaulin on the bottom. Which now has holes in (digging and chewing) and i found out 15mins ago that the wee has seeped through these holes, got into the different layers of tarpaulin and STINKS to high heaven…..

I don’t mind not living in a show home, but even i have my limits…. and they were reached a couple of days ago

I built Pepitos cage last night, I will snap a pic later this evening and show you guys took me a while but its soo verry worth it, she has so much room. Azarene that is exactly what im gonna do too, once i get Winnie cage parts in. Reese before you go buy grids, check out this website(i think they ship anywhere). I refused to buy 12 grids for 40 bucks anywhere in stores they get real pricey, this website sells them for 85 cent a grid. I got 30 grids for 25 dollars best deal ever! Its called “Store Supply Warehouse”. or just type storage grids on google with that name! They are very good quality and only took about 4 days to get to me. Pepitos cage is pretty cool right now! Winnie wanted inside so badly lol. Yeah vienna, i understand. I had to take it down, Its so far alot better and when I get Winnie grids in to build hers it will be wonderful, then when they are bonded, I can build a new cool rabbit condo for them together. Thats whats cool about the grids, you can just do whatever you want with them.

Soo, tell me if this is a good idea!
I Have a store near me called 5 below, everythig 5 dollars or under, they sell those big thick foam pieces(of course if they dont chew them) for kids to play on. I was thinking of using those for the floor and getting rid of this huge blanket i have on the ground. the foam peices would be much easier to clean also. Currently i have the blanket folded in half, so winnie is now down to half of the room to roam(she wont hop on the hard floor hehe ). So, my cleaning is down to half a room which is soo much better.

Vienna, post a pic of your condo once you get it done, reese you too! I really love to see the ideas. Especially when there is two bunnies involved lol Im gonna post a pic of Pepe’s tonight, and once i get Winnies done I will as well!

Thanks – they are so lovely together – if only they’d stop peeing where they are no supposed to, I’d enjoy their indoor company much more

Mine has a cage with a playpen
So far no mess / marks / damage at all by doing it this way , and the pen is big enough for us to hop in with him which we do in the evenings so he isn’t missing out on anything in my opinion.
