Ok so while going over previous posts about crazy bunny molts I have determined that sunflower seeds are safe to feed in small amounts to help with the process but I was wondering if any other parts of the flower are safe for rabbit consumption. Finn is also shedding like crazy and my garden was completely taken over by the sunflowers I planted last year and since I have so many was wondering if it is safe to give him the petals or leaves since the seeds are not ready yet. Thank you!

As far as I know sunflowers are safe as a whole plant.

let us know if you think the seeds helped with the molting

An update on Finn’s molting with the aid of sunflowers. I would have to say the sunflowers helped a lot. I’m brushing him out how and the fur cones out cleaner and his coat is growing in very nice and isn’t as patchy as it was before. Thanks for the response
