My bunny, Polly Oliver, was taking a nap a bit ago and started making weird sounds that I’ve never heard from her before.  It was like a farting, moaning, whining sound and it really freaked me out.  It seemed like it was on each breath, but she was in her hide so I could only see her face.  It was also louder than the grunts and clucks I’ve heard from her occasionally before.  Do you think she is okay?  She woke up and started eating hay, used the litter box, and played a bit.

My girl Luna snores from time to time. I was a little worried the first time I heard it but after watching her do it you can see it’s with each breath and she’s not struggling to breathe, just snoring. I hear her snoring maybe once or twice a week.

That being said, congestion from an infection or similar cam cause loud or restricted breathing, but if it doesn’t sound congested and she is well otherwise I’d say she was just having a nice deep sleep
