Hi everyone. I have a neutered almost 3 year old lion head who used to be mild mannered and generally sweet. We moved in October and he got his own room, and new play area (5 large rooms/half my house) which is more than he had at my old place. Since we moved he now lunges, bites, grunts and screams at anyone that comes near him or his cage. If he is in his play area and I try to clean his cage he will charge at me even from the other room, bite me and scream/grunt until I leave. He has a vet appointment next month, he is eating perfectly well and drinking/grooming himself. He takes his occasional bunny treat and loves his hay. He binkys all over his area and flops when he is tired. Nothing dramatic has happened to him to make him so suddenly violent. It’s like he woke up one day and decided he hates us all. He will accept petting and holding and grooming in my bathroom or kitchen only, not anywhere near his half of the house though. Any suggestions on what I can do? I have to clean his cage and I have to have access to my whole house without being bitten or chased. The screaming noise he makes is worrying which is why I made a vet appointment. Thank you for any advice or suggestions!

Hi I have had my buns for 4 and 2 months, neutered male and female, I started to get somewhere with my male, then I got my female and it seems to of undone the slight bond I had with him, they both seem completely terrified of me, I occasionally get to pet them gently on the head but that’s as far as it goes, I rarely pick either of them up and I only ever gently put a hand out let them sniff put their head down for a stroke. Please help, so many people tell me if the bond they have with their rabbits, how can I get that?

Is there a storm on the way? Olly gets a little funny days before it rains here in England.
But a trip to the vets is a good idea just to have him looked over.

Pinky I live in New England. We are having the mildest winter I can ever remember having. Minimal snow, Average of 50 degree days. Forecast is chilly but clear. I’ll keep an eye out for if he is bothered by weather changes. I never would have thought of that!
Cloverthor, I wish I could offer some insight but unfortunately I’ve had both my boys for 2 years now and they were bonded for about a month before something happened and a huge fight ensued, (both needed stitches) and now they refuse to bond! Kittei seems to hate everyone (thats why I posted this) but my boy Deo is a love bug! He follows me around and cuddles on the couch with me. It took a really long time for him to get like that with me. The only advice I can offer is to be patient, accept that they are their own individuals with their own personalities. Don’t give up!
