I gotta say I’m pretty proud of myself.  I decided to take control and groom this rabbit of mine once and for all.  As I said before I have been getting a swipe with the comb as he runs off!  Ridiculous that a 3 lb. rabbit can be in such control of his human. So I cleared off a smallish table, put down a towel, layed out the comb and brush and paper towel and scooped up Mr. Edson.  I was able to thoroughly comb this guy out and even got his tummy.  He was so good he even started to lie down.  I was shocked! And even more shocked at how much hair I got out.  I could have filled a pillow!  Success!!!! And of course he got a treat…

Congrats Knowltons! Do you want to come over to my place and groom my buns? Stella and Luna HATE grooming! I’m tired of chasing and fur flying!

wow Knowltons! congrats! I feel silly most of the time that I let these little babies intimidate me too. I owned a 1,200 lb. mare for 32 years and SHE certainly didn’t boss me like these guys! You should feel really proud!

When you are intimidated or afraid of hurting them, the buns can sense that and they, in turn, get scared and try to flee. When you put down the law and are confident in what you’re doing, they usually listen.

it might have helped that you did it on neutral territory (i’m guessing he doesn’t hop on the table by choice… lol.) good job!

                        Yea Knowltons!

I recently got a zoom groom – my buns love it. They even purr when being brushed with it.
                        Neutral territory really helps too.
