As summer draws to a close the bunnies are getting as much as they want from the garden before the frost sets in. They get different types of lettuce, kale, carrot tops, radish tops, spinach ( occasionally) , basil, parsley( occasionally), lemon balm, mints, dill, and wild grass, dandelions, chicory, and clover from the yard.

My question is about the basil, lemon balm, dill, and mint. I’ve always just plucked off the leaves for them to eat but can they eat the stem part as well? I’m guessing yes but I’m not sure so I thought I’d ask!

When I buy bunches of herbs at the market, I feed the mint, basil and dill stems along with leaves! My buns seem to enjoy them just fine

Yep they can eat them. Your garden of goodies sounds brilliant, lucky buns!
