We recently built LeVar a much bigger living area and since moving in, I’m noticing a lot of stray poop. He was pretty meticulous about using his box for ALL his business in his last area. I rarely found a stray poop floating around the pen, which was awesome. But, now he’s leaving more more mom to clean up. It’s not out of control; the majority are still in his box, but his new, larger area is much more difficult to clean and it can be difficult to get to the strays. I’m mainly posting this out of curiosity as to why he’s doing this and if anyone else has experienced it. Is he marking his territory? He is neutered, but definitely likes to claim things through chinning. Is he maybe so excited about the extra space to run that he randomly poops during his laps and leaps (I’ve seen him do this in his playpen). Or is this a case of, “eh, my litter box is alllll the way over there now and I’m allll the way over here…”
