I thought Severus was doing better and was going to keep doing better but here I am asking more questions
If you read my posts before, my rabbit wouldn’t eat at all the day we took her home from the vet. We then met up with the on call vet and she got an injection of pain meds and ate when we got home. She was doing great for a rabbit who got spayed 12 hours before.
Yesterday night, I noticed she wasn’t eating more. I assumed she would get better day by day. I gave her some pain meds (which was horrible, she really hates taking meds and it ended up all over me and her) After, she did eat all her veggies but hasn’t touched her pellets (which I have put 2 treats inside the dish to get her attention). She is really only ate hay when I hand feed it her (sometimes she rejects the hand feeding). I also have put small treats in her hay to draw her attention. And there’s no noticeable difference. I mean she could be eating some hay when I’m sleeping but it doesn’t look like it.
Then today, she really hasn’t touched her water all day. I’m going to give her veggies to her soon which I rinse to add water. But still no noticeable difference in her hay or pellets (she usually LOVES her pellets and I normally limit her). Still not really an interest in treats which I don’t want to fill her up on treats of course.
So my question is can her strange shaped poop be because she isn’t eating a lot? How can I change this? Is this ok for her to not eat as much ? She is eating and pooping but it’s like 1/4 to 1/5 of the amount she normally does. I also saw some sludge like urine on a blanket, but all of the other times she urinated it wasn’t there. If it happens again, I will start to worry. I have cleaned her litter box daily.
ALSO: Critical care worked the first night and she voluntarily finished it. However it ended up all over me the last time I tried to give her it.
