Stop, theif!!! What have your buns stolen?

This morning I was sitting on the couch on my laptop.  Zeus was curled up next to me getting pets when I opened up the Fruit Rollup I planned on having for breakfast.  The second the package was opened, Zeus sat up and got all curious.  He scooted in closer, was staring at me, giving me nose bumps, and even putting his front paws on my laptop.  I thought he was being all cute and affectionate… until I let him sniff my Fruit Rollup.

The little booger tore off a chunk, shoved it into his fat cheeks, hopped to the other end of the couch, and sat there and ate his prize with the smugest bunny grin I’ve ever seen!  Ahhh, stinker!  .

And don’t you know it, he had the gall to come back over and beg for more!  No mister theif, you cannot have any more!  .

What have your buns stolen?  Zeus has also nabbed pizza crusts, saltines, tortilla chips, hamster food… and he KNOWS he’s not supposed to do it, because he grabs the biggest mouthful he can muster then runs off! .

Hera has not yet attempted any of this thievery… but it’s only a matter of time before Zeus leads her into a life of crime.

Oh, and just to be clear, none of the things Zeus has stolen he is supposed to have, they are not good for buns and shouldn’t be intentionally fed!

My favorite was when my old bun Merlin went trash diving. He was running around binkying and being so vute, then he dove head first into my little trah can, grabbed a pear core, and bolted with it. I could not stop laughing! I let him keep it because that trash can was actually very clean (the bag swapped out every night and usually just had paper in it) and the pear was the only item in it.

I have also had to watch my Kleenex boxes, bird food containers, and school binders. Merlin used to love stealing my class notes!

Jo-Jo jumped into my lap and clamped onto my ice cream sandwhich – still in the wrapping – and took off with it.
I gave chase and wrestled it away, but it had bunny tooth marks in it. I still ate it.

Rufus really like to rip up my Uni assignments. He doesn’t take them, he just destroys them for stealing attention away from him. I’ve learned now to keep ones that haven’t been handed in yet away from him – it would feel so ridiculous to use the “My bunny ate my homework excuse” . He still gets to the ones that have been marked with comments occassionally though. Little terror!

Bunnnnnnnie – Zeus is just so adorable! He really is the floppiest!

Alvin is my tea thief, in the past he has knocked two glasses of tea off my desk in his quest for the sweet nectar! He also knocked over a glass of Pepsi because he thought it was tea, he was so disappointed! haha! He hasn’t been up to much thievery lately. Dusty has been good so far, he’s still in the baby phase so he hasn’t got any vices yet. Give him time, Alvin will be teaching him bad manners soon enough!

Bella stole my book when I was trying to work… She literally dragged it away…

Hannah steals bags of treats. My husband will sit on the floor with them handing out treats. and Hannah will lunge for the bag and then run off with it. He knows she does it, but she still manages to catch him by surprise and then he has to run around after her. It’s pretty hilarious. It’s less funny when she picks up the bag by the bottom and dumps all of the treats out as she runs. We set her up and took a video of it the other day – I’ll have to see if I can upload it.

They’re way better than the dog though. He’ll steal just about anything and then run around the house with it.

There is a picture circulating online of a bunny sneaking up to the table, grabbing a cookie and sneaking back down. it makes me laugh everytime!! that actually happened with my Cupcake one time. My hubby made some toast and put it on a plate on the coffee table. Cupcake poked her head up, took a bite and ran off. Cutest thing ever!!

T absolutely hates my mobile phone. If she sees it, she grabs it, runs to the middle of the room, and then throws it. She’s managed to do it while I’ve been talking on it too. And of course the phone hangs up too. That’s an awkward way to end a call!

Last night Powder escaped from the side of the house he’s allowed in, found a package of tortilla shells and took off running back to his room with them… I had to chase him down lol
