Yesterday I noticed my rabbit grinding her teeth. Still eating and drinking. I noticed that she had some mucus coming out of beer bum also. Some of her poos are hard and small.
Vets felt her stomach and can feel something intestinal. Said it’s too big to be poo blockage?
Have given me pain meds and 5 days to see if anything passes.
Bought her home and gave her critical care and some greens. She ate both but has not pooped since this morning.
She is now grinding her teeth more then this afternoon a few hours after pain meds and there is also a loud gurgling coming from her stomach. She is clearly in pain but the vets have said it needs to pass.
I don’t have another vet in my area for a second opinion. Has anyone else dealt with a similar problem with their rabbit?

Im sorry to hear she is unwell. It’s good she has pain meds at least but it may not be enough. They didn’t do an x-ray? It really needs to be established if she has a true blockage or not (regardless of whatever it is made up of). With a complete blockage, force feeding is not advised.

If it isn’t a complete blockage, maybe they can give some fluids orally and subcutaneously. Hydration might be the key.

Some ranitidine (Zantac) might help also if there is mucus passing.
