A few of you from FB know that we decided to help out the shelter were we got Sandy & Gracie and foster a bunny. We got Sterling on Saturday. He’s such a happy little bunny. I feel bad leaving him in the basement but he has so much space to run around and I check on him as much as I can. Here is his profile on petfinder: http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/18757896 Anyone interested???
Everytime he sees me he freaks out and runs around humming
He’s quite the vocal bunny! He might still be a little hormonal since he just got fixed the weekend before we got him. I put a stuffed bunny to keep him company (well it had Sandy’s scent on it) and he started humping it like crazy! I had to take it out because I was afraid he’d hurt himself since I think he still has stiches in. I can’t get him on his back to look at it though. He puts his feet in the air and digs his claws into my shirt. I love him, he’s adorable but my heart is still set on lops, just the looks they give you, so much personality *runs away from hoards of uppy ear owners*
I never had Sterling upstairs but somehow Gracie knew we got another rabbit! I swear, she acts dumb sometimes but she’s probably the smartest one in the bunch! She kept hopping around in the dining room (that’s where the basement door is at) and she’d put her nose between the door and the floor and proceeded to do 2 territorial poops
She must either have a 6th sense or a really strong nose.
Here is his cage setup. At night he goes in the smaller cage and we close him in. I don’t want him to get out at nighttime and get into anything in the basement. Our basement isn’t finished btw, that’s just a big piece of carpet that’s in the corner for him. Sorry the pictures aren’t all that great, I would think for an expensive Ipod you’d get better quality pictures. Oh well.

When we first got him, he chinned pretty much every NIC connector
It probably had my 3’s scent on it since that was part of their cage before. He also chinned the grids, toys, his smaller cage…pretty much everything. He did a lot of territorial poop. So much so that I had to get a Glade Gel freshener thing to make it smell nice in there. It’s all vaccuumed now and doesn’t smell but man did it stink yesterday!

Mine!

And that’s mine too! I believe he’s either a Havana or a Havana mix. His fur is so shiny and soft! He’s a gray color, maybe has some chocolate in him, at least his tail looks like it might be brown.

You can notice his litterbox is smaller in that picture….we were trying to get him to go in it so he’d use it when eating hay. He was going around the litter box in his cage so we had to switch it out with a bigger one….

As you can see below, that didn’t stop him from avoiding the litter box…..but he does use it, I swear!

“Now how do I get down??”
