Hello!
This is our first post on Binky Bunny, so hopefully we don’t do anything wrong but we are going through a bit of a conundrum.
Kylie, like other bunnies I’m sure, likes to go places that she isn’t supposed to. We give her all sorts of space but we try to keep her out from one area of the living room as there is a mess of clothes and we really don’t want her peeing all over them for some reason. We open the closet door so that she can’t sneak past it, but when she realizes that the door is closed and she can get by, she makes her run for it.
Kylie isn’t exactly fond of being picked up, but she’s a rescue who has been through at least two other homes so we don’t know what she has gone through that may be the reason she isn’t fond of it. So when we go to get her out of the area we kind of just scoot her along for the most part.
But as of late when my girlfriend goes to get her out of there, and my girlfriend is definitely Kylie’s favourite, she does this weird squeaking sound. However, if I go back there to get her she just runs away as fast as she can because she knows daddy will pick her up and take her out of there. When my girlfriend does it, and eventually scoots her out of the area, Kylie just flicks her ears and hops around all happy like.
All of our Google searches have returned in pain or extreme fear, but it’s weird that Kylie does it with her but not myself. My girlfriend thinks that it may be Kylie’s way of pleading with her or disagreeing with her about being kicked out of the area.
Has anyone had a similar happening and eventually sort of figured out what their bunny may mean by this squeaking?
Thank you for your help!
