  Hi! I’ll make this quick.
  I have 2 rabbits (one male [Abel] and one female [Penny Lane]) and I desperately need to get one of them fixed! Which one should I do? I was leaning towards getting Abel neutered because it’s cheaper, but now I am thinking of getting Penny spayed to reduce her risk of uterine cancer in the future. Which one should I do? Will Abe continue to hump her if she is fixed?

  Well they both need to be altered to live happily together but you definitely should start with the female.
  
  For pairs to live harmoniously together however both must be altered.

  I agree with Sarita, get the girl done first. If you want them happily bonded, they will both need to be fixed. Plus your boy will be very very frustrated.

  Abel will continue to hump Penny Lane if she is spayed. He will still have the hormones that give him all those urges and frustration. So they definitely both need to be spayed and neutered. Hopefully you can have the surgeries done around the same time, so that they will have recuperated at about the same time, then you can start the bonding process.
