I adopted a rabbit a little over a month ago, because 7 months ago my 7 year old rabbit passed away. My rabbit who passed left her 8 year old husbun a little sad. So, I decided to get him a new 5 year old wife. I absolutely adore the new rabbit, but she pees everywhere. Apparently she had excellent litter box habits before, but I don’t quite believe it. She pees when she’s excited to see me, when she’s angry, next to my vacuum, under my bed, on every single rug, by the front door and all over my bathroom. I’m honestly at my wits end. Before I got her I deep cleaned my entire apartment to get rid of any rabbit smell and setup multiple new litter boxes. I tried changing the litter boxes day then every other day, nothing works. She’s been spayed for over a year so it can’t be hormonal. Frankie my other rabbit has been fixed for 7 years. My rabbits don’t have a cage and normally have free roam of my apartment 24/7. I really don’t want to restrict them. However, I’ve been putting her in the bathroom at night, because there is a tile floor and easier to clean than the carpet in the rest of my apartment. Any suggestions on getting her to stop would be appreciated. If I can’t get her to stop by the end of the week, I’m going to have to return her to the adoption agency. I’ve never thought I’d be in the situation where I’d consider returning an animal and really don’t want to now. Please help!!!
