I got Fiona spayed 8 days ago. She has been eating/drinking, and peeing/pooping like normal. I have restricted her to a play pen for minimum activity. She has built up so much energy and is destroying everything in the play pen, flipping her litter-box (she has never done this), and is banging on the gate. After a google search, I decided that this was because she has not been able to “exercise” in a while. I let her out tonight and she did some major running around. She is still eating and drinking normally. I took a picture of her incision and was wondering if anyone knew if it looked okay.

Hi Nikki, from the pictures it looks like the incision is healing well. As long as you’re not seeing any swelling or redness close up I would be perfectly happy with that. Did your vet book in a follow up check with you after her surgery?

About a week is the same period of time that I kept my Pomegranate in a restricted area to heal, then another couple of days in a slightly bigger area so she had room to run a bit more before I put her back into her normal space.

No the vet did not book a follow up appointment for her. I was just making sure it looked okay
