Hi, I’ve looked for an answer but been unable to find anything specific on the subject of soil in my poor buns eye.
Ryo is a silly bin. She has free reign in our garden in terms of digging wherever the heck she wants but recently this had culminated in her getting soil in her eyes. This hasn’t been too much of an issue. If the soil is in the corner of her eye or around her the eyes I clean it off with a damp ear cleaner. I notice occasionally her eye is a little red so I clean it gently with water and within a day she’s ok. Today whilst giving her a trim I noticed she had soil actually in her eye.
I have no issue cleaning out the dry soil that collects like sleepy dust in the corner of her eye but I didn’t know whether I need to be proactive and clean the soil away whilst it’s in the rim of her eye or its it’s more healthy to leave it and let the body do it’s job.
The last thing I want is to cause an infection by poking and prodding at her if it’s a self righting issue.
Thanks for any advice you have
Elly
