Thanks, Bunny House! I think House Rabbit Society has a boarding place closer to LA, but this particular one is much closer to me (Orange County). It’s where we adopted one of our buns and buy all our supplies
If anyone else has had experience boarding their rabbits, what was it like for you? Did your bunnies adjust pretty easily to the unfamiliar and confined space (my bunnies are currently free roam), not to mention possibly a different eating schedule than home? Any stress issues as a result?
One of our rabbits is super chill and awesome, so we’re not too worried about her. The other one tends to be more dramatic and sensitive (he was angry at me and my husband for a few hours after taking him to the vet, to the point where we were worried he was getting stasis), so we are a bit concerned about him adjusting to being boarded. He also hates being locked up and would rattle the pen gate when confined.
Do rabbits tend to act up in these situations or do they tend to be more cooperative in these situations due to unfamiliar surroundings? We are thinking of bringing their hidey hole and rug so they have something familiar around them, but since this is new to us, we are being a little paranoid.
