Yes, my buns are all spayed and neutered.
I am worried that stitching will actually do more harm than good for my baby because it’s so close to her eye. It poses a risk that she may go blind. She lived in an separate air conditioned house with the other rabbits, but I guess this was a catalyst that convinced my parents to let me keep Vanilla inside. So right now, her cage is indoors (away from my other buns), and she is getting more love. I don’t think I’m going to bond them at all anymore, and just keep Vanilla in the main house.
I disinfected her wounds, and I plan to do so at least 4 times a day. She has been eating well and drinking well, so that’s a good sign.
BAD NEWS: I live in a small town, so the vet clinics are all closed on Monday for holiday and I can’t go until Tuesday. Plus, I can’t drive on my own, and I have a mom and a dad that does not want her to go to a vet!!!
And I’m worried that since her wound is healing so fast that it will have already healed by Tuesday. She will have her skin flap forever, but my parents say that the vets can’t do anything about her condition without doing the risky stitching.
I got some pics.
